On June 19, 1865, Leading Popular Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, with corking word to get: the end to the sesquipedalian and gruesome Polite War and the emancipation of fatal slaves. This life-changing programme, nonetheless, was delivered a staggering two-and-a-half years after the initial emancipation meeting of Jan 1, 1863. The tardily yet momentous program from Gross Granger solace seems to be pending in its memory within our story.
