As expected, Verizon has officially announced the DROID 3 by Motorola, which we saw sprout up on the company’s site in recent hours. The keyboard-equipped handset is, Verizon claims, the world’s thinnest QWERTY smartphone, and offers a 4-inch qHD 960 x 540 touchscreen, slide-out 5-row ‘board and 8-megapixel camera with 1080p Full HD video capture.
Inside is a dual-core 1GHz processor, OS is Android 2.3, and there’s mobile hotspot functionality to share the DROID
